Eileen King was given the name Ireland’s Sweetheart of Country Music.  Eileen homeplace is Camlough Co. Armagh.  Eileen admits to not being particulary ambitious, yet the talented County Armagh Lady has carved out a good living in the most precarious of all professionals.

Eileen was born into a family of four.  Two major influences in Eileen’s singing career were Patsy Cline and Connie Smith and Eileen loved to get home from School and singalong to their records.

Eileen’s earliest recording “Knock At My Window Tonight Love, in 1974.  Eileen has also appeared at the Grand Ole Opry  it was the crowning glory of Eileen’s early Career. 

Eileen’s work was mostly confined to the busy British Circuit. During her career Eileen has a number a Music Awards to her credit.Eileen’s Favourite Artists are Brian Coll and Philomena Begley. 

Eileen was approached with a view to replacing Philomena Begley in Country Flavour this was an offer she could not refuse and spent four happy years with the band and learned a great deal about the business during that time.
