Hello My name is Kathleen and I come from Bristol In  England .  Now living in Ballymoney

I enjoy Country Music; but it wasn't always like that, in fact when I was 18 I hated Country Music!

My mum used to run dances in Bristol, so I sort of got used to it .  I married Sean in 1991 his family originally from Co Tyrone and they love the Irish Music.

My favourite singer's at the moment are: Kieran McGilligan, John McNicholl,  Edmund Fox, Shawn Cuddy, Mick Flavin, Paddy O'Brien. Gene Stuart, Brian Coll,        

Kathleen's Work

Upon Leaving school I did some training to be a nurse but never continued I worked for Iceland Frozen Foods, Tesco's and Asda whilst living in England also worked evenings behind a bar which I enjoyed.

Whilst living In Bristol I worked for British Telecom and Yellow/Talking Pages, and I was a Grade 4 trained to ISO9002 which was a high Standard, I then moved here in 1996 to be with my Mum and Dad.  I then started to work for Holmes Catering as a Telesales / Customer Services operator.  Then in 2005 I left work due to Family Commitments.

Dances

I started going to Dances and I recall seeing Jimmy Buckley for the first time; I thought he was great.  Back in 1999 i was involved in running dances in Ballymoney.  I recall travelling on  a few occasions with Brian Coll my good friend Jerome McBride was with Brian at this time.

We would travel to places like The Rock Churchill in Letterkenny, Frankies in Raphoe, The River Club in Castlefin and The Lake of Shadows . 

I have three Children Gene,Stephen,Louise so I am Kept pretty busy.

I then took a break from the dances in 1999 until 2003 which can be explored in my Autobiography. I Then started dancing again in 2003, that's when I met Edmund Fox and I liked his singing from day one,  I then decided to set up a website for Edmund I also was helping Edmund out with a few bookings but then things took a different direction and at the moment  I have found this very enjoyable writing profiles it's all about keeping Irish Country Music Alive.

Hobbies

My favourite pastimes are Dancing, Ice Skating, and going to the Cinema and Gym

I have also done a lot of Charity Dances where nearly all of the Singers have helped me out, there are too many names to mention but I thank Them all.

Kathleen's Plans

I Hope to continue with my Charity Work  I have raised money for the N.S.P.C.C and Daniel's romanian Appeal I really Love the Irish Country it's hard to beat.  I have to say in the last three  years I have met some great people along the way.  I just love the Dances and talking to the singers . New ventures

In 2006 I became involved with web design building websites for Trevor Moyles, Robert Mizzell, Thomas Maguire, Shaun Loughrey and more recently along with Sean Green and the Irish Connection.
